Today was spent along the Klickitat River. I’m a subconsultant for a super cool project that is proposing a bridge across the river. I needed to get to the other side to complete a wetland delineation and ordinary high water mark survey. Coincidentally, the survey crew for the project was using a drift boat to do its work and let me know I could be ferried across.
Never one to turn down an invitation like that, I was able to complete my work and reconnoiter a mile of trail as well. It was raining, but we were outfitted with the right gear so it wasn’t too bad.
I could think of worse ways to make a living. =)
