I have been in the environmental field for a long time with the lion’s share of work covering fieldwork and reporting centric to wetlands, fish, and wildlife. Wetland and stream reports, biological assessments, habitat evaluations, and species surveys have been my bread ‘n butter.
However, with going on 30 years of experience under my belt, I have been seeking to incorporate other job tasks into the GG professional palette.
Grant writing is a very important task critical to procuring public funds for proposed projects. Good organizational and writing skills are a must. I am excited to share that I am currently contracted to write an Environmental Report (ER) for Categorical Exclusion for two proposed projects in the Wapato area. The ER is needed to apply for a grant under the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program (HBIIP).
The purpose of the HBIIP is to increase significantly the sales and use of higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel by expanding the infrastructure for renewable fuels derived from U.S. agricultural products. The program is also intended to encourage a more comprehensive approach to market higher blends by sharing the costs related to building out biofuel-related infrastructure.
How’s that for diversification?
