Back in 2019 I wanted to create a unique business logo that would reflect my business name and what I do for a living. A biologist by training and profession, my professional focus includes wetlands, fish, and wildlife. I’ve always liked my “GG” initials and wanted to blend them into the logo. I shied away from obious words and letters. I wanted the logo to be a symbol – and that’s it.
I doodled for a couple weeks. Draft after draft was tossed in the garbage. Finally, I arrived at a design that included two opposed “Gs” that formed a fish where they intersected. I placed the fish in the claws of an eagle and added cattails to the outer edges of the “Gs.”
“WETLANDS (cattails) – FISH (fish) – WILDLIFE (eagle) that form two “Gs” within a single symbol. Sha-BAM! Done. I took my idea to Advanced Digital Imaging in Yakima and was served up a sweet rendition of my drawing.
